Tigran Jager's chamber compositions "Pomegranate Bloom" and "Rain of Hope" were included in the program "Human Time: fairy tales and true stories of the Peoples," which opened the festival "Wonders of Russia" in Zaryadye near the Moscow Red Square.
This project brought together academic artists from leading symphony orchestras. The musicians offered a unique perspective on ethnic groups — Russians, Yakuts, Jews, Armenians, Caucasians, and Crimeans —through the prism of professional arrangements of classical, folk, and original works.
The artists dedicated Tigran Jager's "Pomegranate Bloom" to the people of Dagestan, North Ossetia, and Sochi, while the composer's "Rain of Hope" spoke of the unity of peoples, the diversity of nationalities, and expressed hope for the preservation of culture and unique nature.
Singer and composer Ekaterina Chernousova prepared her arrangement of the song "Evening Song" by the renowned Yakut composer Mark Zhirkov (1892–1951) for the day. Her original compositions were also performed: "Golden Jerusalem," based on well-known Jewish chants. Ekaterina's voice permeated the Zaryadye Park with her legendary composition "I Walked in the Garden," based on authentic Russian melodies collected by the artist on folklore expeditions.
A special part of this program was the beloved "Fly Away on the Wings of the Wind" ("Chorus of Polovtsian Maidens") by Alexander Borodin from the opera "Prince Igor", performed by the project's violin group, the Quattro Bella orchestra, and the wonderful operatic vocals of Ekaterina Chernousova.
